"Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve and Lodge is an amazing place to stay. They have extremely knowledgeable birding and wildlife guides and the people who work there are super nice. The food is great, although the options are limited. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Ours looked out into the cloud forest. Don't expect a luxury experience. "We had a lovely stay at Casa de Vista Alta in Mindo. It's a gorgeous property in a stunning location, high up on a hill, surrounded by a bird-filled cloud forest.
