"Great place to stay but my room was freezing, we arrived after 6 , i think the rooms could have been warmed up before hand, so not a good start. The staff are very friendly and as a pensioner and no lift i was offered a down stairs room. The pub opposite was very handy for an evening meal and drinks. On the whole a good, clean, family place to stay, but please warm your rooms while it’s so cold. Myself and my family thought it was good value."

"Im a infrequent but regular visitor to Chorley and the Hartwood has become my 'go to' hotel. It is convenient, inexpensive, reliable, but above all friendly and welcoming, so I will continue to use it whenever i am revisiting Chorley. The last time I stayed I was especially impressed with the extra efforts Tara went to - I had left something of personal value in my room and she was most helpful in making sure I got it safely returned to me."

"Stayed here for a night while over to watch a MMA fight night, the hotel was more than comfortable for a lovely nights sleep, room was large and the bathroom was clean but not that modern. Bit of road noise if your room is on the road side but you’re in a city, it’s to be expected. Reception also is open 24hrs and has baskets with extra tea, coffee etc for your room which was really nice"

"I booked this for a nights stay for my wife and 2 daughters. My wife said that they all had an amazing time. The rooms were very clean and modern. Comfy beds and pillows. The facilities in the room were brilliant too. It's right in the centre of Liverpool. Easily walkable to transport routes and the main shopping area of the city centre. There is also plenty of options to go for food within a few minutes walk too. We are planning to go back together soon"
