"Great little get away for a couple. Not so much for 2 single dudes visiting the offroad park a few miles down the road. While there is 2 beds the one down stairs being very comfortable and welcoming it is my understanding the upstairs fold out bed is only comparable to that of sleeping on a trampoline. The entrance into the property is only suitable for 4x4's not pulling a 32 ft car trailer.. A very steep, rough grade. Didnt bother us much but might others. Overall a really neat property,. . "

"The cabin was nice as was the area where it's located. It was stocked with everything you could ask for, dishes, towels, flatware, even coffee and we liked it a lot except for 2 things... the Internet was very slow and spotty. It seemed to do okay with the TV and our phones, but once the laptop was connected, all internet service stopped. This was the same for all three days we were there. Also, it might be helpful if one of the Uncle Joe's Creek Retreat signs were placed at the actual entrance...

"The cottage at River Bird Lodge was excellent. It's very nice, clean, well appointed. It's great for a couple or a small family. The cottage layout has a bedroom and common living area with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, which is not always the case. It sits on a large property with a lot of woods to explore, as well as the river. This time of year the river is pretty low, so you can easily access the riverbed.. Niki was very responsive and easy to work with. I gave only 4 stars...
