"Our family of 8 was very comfortable at the Steele Waters Lodge. It’s an older home with lots of character. It is well off the beaten path- which we enjoyed- but a 25 minute to grocery stores and most conveniences. It’s gorgeous country!"

"We wanted to experience the country setting but be close enough to Ashville so can take advantage of the great shops and restaurants. Plenty of outdoor activities within an hour or less of where we stayed. Which included kayaking, hiking and zip lining. Was able to experience the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way to Mt Mitchel as well. Ziplining could have been better. Next time, I would find one which is tree based instead of based on manmade towers. But was okay. Overall, it was a very pleasant...

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! It was quiet, and I loved seeing the animals! Plus it was decently close to downtown Asheville! I will say if you are someone who cannot be unplugged during your stay, this property is not for you because the Wi-Fi did not work during my stay. I wasn’t there for that so not a problem for me personally."

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The house is very accommodating and has a lot to offer. We visited the animals of Buffalo Creek and it was a good time. We went to Berm Park and Maggie Valley, which are less than a 30-minute drive away. I have a few minor complaints: the beds are not comfortable in our opinion, there were cobwebs throughout the house, the grass had not been cut, and the backyard could use a routine spraying of insecticide. I would still highly recommend staying here...

"We had a lovely little weekend trip staying at this cabin. We loved how remote it was, but not too far of a drive from Waynesville where there are plenty of stores/restaurants etc. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and the perfect size for just the two of us.
