Walking through the town, you can visit the birthplace of William Wordsworth, then across the river, you can feed the ducks and let the kids play in the memorial gardens. Cycle hire is also available locally, or you can enjoy a swim at the local leisure pool.
Home to the famous Jenning’s brewery, nestled beneath the castle walls, this picturesque thriving market town sits at the junction of the River Cocker and the River Derwent on its journey to the sea.
