"Property is wonderful, and it turned out I did not have issues going down the mountain during a major storm. Luckily, the neighbors within walking distance gave me information. Dryer is broken, which I wish I knew beforehand. Not the end of the world. Downstairs TV was on, but didn't work. Upstairs had only one channel that worked, making it hard to follow what was happening outside. The neighbors offered to let us use their dryer, which was nice. My only big frustration was that the area had a ton of rain and an impending tropical storm that devasted most of Western NC. Our governor was recommending Shelter in Place or Evacuate. I called and texted Vacasa, as I was concerned about the flooding that had already started, and I was worried whether it was too late to leave. I asked for one or two more nights, but they insisted that renters were coming, and they do not allow cancellations for extreme weather, I then asked/begged to see if owners or cleaning company or anyone could call and help me determine the safety on the local roads, but Vacasa refused. I left a day early and arrived home safely. Again, overall a great experience, but I was surprised that even with an emergency, the owners were unwilling to contact me. "

"This is a beautiful cabin inside and outside. The mountain just hugs it. Just wonderful. So peaceful. You hear the birds and squirrels. The leaves were just starting to turn. "

The layout (with 2 beds/1 bath down and 4/2 up) along with large, open living space easily accommodated our party of 11 adults and 1 infant. The listing says basic kitchen items are included, but it had everything we needed, including glass storage containers for leftovers (rare to find). Shopping/restaurants are easily accessible in Canton and Waynesville, and lots of hiking and waterfalls nearby. 10/10 recommend"
