"Property is wonderful, and it turned out I did not have issues going down the mountain during a major storm. Luckily, the neighbors within walking distance gave me information. Dryer is broken, which I wish I knew beforehand. Not the end of the world. Downstairs TV was on, but didn't work. Upstairs had only one channel that worked, making it hard to follow what was happening outside. The neighbors offered to let us use their dryer, which was nice. My only big frustration was that the area had a ton of rain and an impending tropical storm that devasted most of Western NC. Our governor was recommending Shelter in Place or Evacuate. I called and texted Vacasa, as I was concerned about the flooding that had already started, and I was worried whether it was too late to leave. I asked for one or two more nights, but they insisted that renters were coming, and they do not allow cancellations for extreme weather, I then asked/begged to see if owners or cleaning company or anyone could call and help me determine the safety on the local roads, but Vacasa refused. I left a day early and arrived home safely. Again, overall a great experience, but I was surprised that even with an emergency, the owners were unwilling to contact me. "

"This is a beautiful cabin inside and outside. The mountain just hugs it. Just wonderful. So peaceful. You hear the birds and squirrels. The leaves were just starting to turn. "

"Our stay started with some challenges but the gracious owner was quick to deal with them and by the end of day two all was well. We appreciated the large dining table that seated us all for meals and games while the living room and loft allowed those needing quiet time to escape as needed. Our trek to local waterfalls was quite lovely and I would recommend it for families with children and teens. It is certainly located in a lovely area"

"The cottage was in a very lovely, quiet location at Cold Mountain. Very clean and neatly kept. The property manager answered all our questions right away. Gratefully, we only had to bother her the first night. Upon arrival, there were fresh eggs from their farm waiting for us! It is a gated area with many places to walk the property, go fishing, or just sit and read a book. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!"
