We had a great stay here. Arrived late on the way to the snow. Make sure you call ahead as the reception does close and they will make arrangements. Excellent coffee shop across the road too

We’ll definitely be back

We’ve stayed in Cooma a number of times but this was our first time staying at Altair - it’s definitely our favourite, and we’ll definitely be back! Great location; great sized rooms; well-appointed kitchenette; friendly hosts; and we got to enjoy some of the fireworks from the Cooma Show

Great location. Very short walk to The Lott for breakfast and Pha’s Thai for dinner. Neither of these are cheap options but both very nice meals. The Altair also has a cute shared cabana area for guests with a couple of outdoor gas heaters. Rooms are neat and tidy and bathrooms are newly renovated. Great option for an overnight stay for my family of 4.

Overnight stay only and very suitable for that purpose. Clean and comfortable. Heating works well - essential this time of year. Room quite small but not an issue for a single traveller. Set back from road so no traffic noise.
