This elegant modern chalet supplies everything you need for a real luxury stay.

Step out onto your private decking on a bright morning, and the view across Loch Iuibhair (pronounced Ewar) to the steep glenside will take your breath away. Then look on the other direction and the view of Ben More will stop you in your tracks again. You will struggle to find a better view from an inland self catering holiday property in Scotland. It is simply magnificent.



This 5 star property sleeping up to 4 brings you the best of peace and indulgence - in fact, many visitors tell us they wish their homes were so well designed. The large living area with feature wall and cathedral ceiling with wood burning stove opens onto a large decking; an open-plan luxury fitted kitchen with adjacent dining area, large king size double room with en-suite power shower room, twin room and a separate bathroom with deep bath complete this well appointed chalet.

Having undergone a recent refurbishment to include new bedroom carpets and curtains, luxury extra thick Rest Assured hotel standard 2000 spring pocket sprung king size double mattresses, Hans Grohe bathroom furniture and kitchen sink. These modernisations make Pinemarten even more luxurious and comfortable whilst you stay.

Pinemarten has been newly refurbished bringing a 2 bedroom, 5 star property to the Portnellan portfolio and designed to be exceptionally spacious and comfortable with a level of luxury complimented by the detail in the fixtures and fittings. The moment you walk through the large glass sliding door leading from the private decking with garden furniture (BBQ available free of charge upon request) it is clear to see that the layout and design has been well thought out bringing a home from home feel and tastefully thought out to the highest of 5 star standards.

This includes the hand made curtains and blinds by 'Iona Designs' in Perth, the Farrow and Ball paint used throughout the property, Scottish artwork prints as wall decoration, the Scottish manufactured Carron deep sunk double ended bath and the Morso wood burning stove. No expense has been spared to make this property unique in its appearance to stand out from the rest.

The open plan living area with large comfy sofas, hand made designer foot stool, flat screen TV with SKY package (Variety with Sports), Blu Ray DVD and a wood burning stove gives the Deerstalker a warm, cosy and welcoming feel. The dining area with table and chairs flows to the beautiful newly installed fully fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences including integrated dishwasher, double oven, larder fridge freezer and ceramic hob. The kitchen is complimented by feature ceiling and worktop lighting. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in a specifically designed small walk in drying cupboard.

Walk through into the bedroom from the living area and the sumptuous king sized 2000 spring Rest Assured bed and mattress with Cashmere top is placed between built in his and her wardrobes, a feature wall with designer paper, hand made bed headboard and lighting.

The fully tiled ensuite bathrooms have a double ended deep Carron bath off from the master king size double bedroom whilst the twin bedroom has a power shower cubicle. There is even a bluetooth, heated vanity mirror above the bathroom basin.

The Portnellan Estate ​where​ Pinemarten ​is situated ​has been​​ privately owned by the same family for ​nearly 40​ years and offers fantastic facilities​ ​including fresh run salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, mountain bikes with plenty of trails on and off road for all abilities, Canadian canoes, kayaks ​and rowing boats on the river and loch​. Clay pigeon shooting can also be arranged.​ ​

Centrally located​. ​Pinemarten ​is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away. Oban forty five min​ute​s, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over an hour and Edinburgh one and a half hours​ drive. Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.

Lovely property with mountain views
Lovely property for a family , with all home comforts. Great location as most towns are an hour drive away at most . We went in Feb so lots of snow, which the kids loved, however if you went in the summer there’s kayaking and fishing on the estate . Also a massive patio area with beautiful loch views

Wij hebben heel erg genoten van ons verblijf. De vakantiewoning was picobello, met een panoramisch zicht op de indrukwekkende natuur. De gastheer Cameron zorgde voor een warm onthaal en verstrekte ons meer dan voldoende informatie. Het verblijf in Portnellan (chalet Pinemarten) is een absolute aanrader!
