"There was nothing not to like about the flat. It was very reasonably priced, had a lovely view of the water and Arran, it is central enough and on the second floor. It was very clean. The only thing it lacked was a dishwasher but that’s not a big deal when there are only two of you. "

"Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."

"Our family group of eight adults, two children and two dogs enjoyed a weekend but the house is so well equipped we could easily have stayed longer. Plenty of space for everyone and very comfortable. The house manager Theresa could not have been more helpful. We’d like to return."

After several attempts to contact in order to get into the property, we ended up booking at another place. This was very, very hard, since the OPEN was going on and there were NO vacancies. "This hotel is brilliant, staff are great, rooms are nice we was on 3rd floor as they have been recently decorated, they have a live singer on every night! This is not advertised enough round the hotel, we found this on 2nd night the live singers are fab! Will be staying again the grounds around it are stunning too! You get what you pay for and more I loved this hotel "

"We had a lovely room with a nice see view. Only there for one night but enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar & the breakfast was a great start to the day. All the staff in bar, reception & dinning room were friendly & helpful....all with smiles on their faces & happy to chat."

Fantastic place for an o/n stay

"Lovely stay here before catching the ferry to NI. Was a fantastic size room with plenty of space for our LO to run around and play. Having a kitchenette with microwave oven was really useful after a long day travelling and meant we could easily make something in the room but there is also a great list of local restaurants and takeaways too."
