"What a gem! The staff at this hotel are all amazing. Each and every one of them is confident, capable and above all polite and helpful. Nothing, it seems is too much trouble. The hotel building is old and characterful but well kept and comfortable. Food portions are generous and menu excellent. The pool and spa facilities are great and make the price of your stay extremely good value. The placement of the hotel makes it ideal for getting to either Cornish coast in no time or explore the fascinating history and surroundings on foot from the hotel. "

"Beautiful, elegant hotel with lovely public rooms, ie bar, restaurant. My room had a great sea view. The wall paper was a little dated, but nothing to worry about. When I ran a bath the water was brown - I guess because of either old pipes or recycled rainwater? But it would have been good to have a note explaining it in the bathroom, so I felt reassured to take my bath (I didn't!). Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful on the whole. The views, the walks and the convenient sporting equipment were great, looking forward to using them next visit."

"Beautiful hotel! Stayed for one night with my boyfriend and I couldn't fault it. All of the staff were so friendly and the spa facilities were spotless. We had dinner and drinks in the Bay Bar which was lovely, a little pricey but to be expected for the quality. The hotel is situated right next to Fistral Beach and the views are amazing!! Thank you for a great stay, we will definitely be returning."
