"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

But...my request of having a corner and/or a room not in between two other active rooms was not honored. Then I got placed in a room next to the elevator. "I really liked the concept of this community house, which is not yet very common in Japan, as well as the location with easy access to the station, bus terminal, shops, and dining options. Although I did not try, the first floor of the guest house is a stylish restaurant. The only thing I wished they had provided was a little bedside lamp in the room. I will definitely use it again."
