"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. "I cannot impress upon people how idillic this villa is. It is set near a very small village with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The villa itself has all the amenities one would require, and the inside is is fabulous condition. "What a fantastic place to stay. Superb communication with host (Elias) prior to and during stay. There was a food hamper on arrival with wine which was great as we arrived very late in the evening. Villa very spacious with beautiful outdoor courtyard area and spotlessly clean. Lots of character and just a short walk from the village of Margarites which has some lovely ceramic shops and places to eat. Monestary in the village is worth a visit too and we fell in love with the Pomegranate trees....

There are 2 or 3 restaurants and 2 shops within walking distance, which serve delicious and local dishes.
