"Amazing wildlife ,impressive accommodations "

"I booked with them deluxe room with king bed ocean view, they tried to give me garden view and they were trying to convince me it is the best room in the hotel, my friend discovered that the room was garden view, when we told them, they took us to an ocean view room with with single beds, they tried to put the 2 beds togethers with 2 Matterses with 2 covers. I was so upset because they were trying to cheat me, I asked them for king bed or upgrade with king bed, they gave me the upgrade with king...

"Lovely relaxing place to stay, resort type feel, great value for money and the staff were super friendly and attentive. My daughter loved the pool. Food was exceptional. "

"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"

The beds are comfortable and the pool excellent for an early morning swim. The restaurant caters for all tastes and the traditional curry meal for two is a must. "

"Having just spent 5 nights at this hotel we can definitely recommend it. It was ideally placed for our self organised tour of Sri Lanka and, from here, we visited the iconic sites of Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and the fabulous Hurulu national park where we saw many elephants. Our lakeside cottage at the hotel was very quaint and we loved sitting on the decking watching the monkeys and chipmunks running around. Staff at the hotel are very welcoming and the pool area is lovely. The hotel...

"Very expensive stay for not much facilities. Staff barely able to understand requests. No timely answers for queries before we arrived at the property. Staff do not go out of the way to make your experience pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average. For the expensive pricing, you would expect a better spread, but no. Cleanliness of property is also below average when you compare with similar properties in the price range."

"Quiet area, helpful staff. Great pool to take a dip. Bring your mosquito spray if you will be outside at night. Breakfast and dinner were filling, and nicely prepared. They have both buffet and a la carte decently priced for a place like this. Convenient to Sigiriya"
