Very little outside noise despite room being at the front of the hotel and being on a tram route. Plenty of bars & restaurants within easy walking distance. "While a little "worn around the edges", this hotel is very pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Bed comfort is very good. We discovered a good bistro down the road - the midi-minuit - which actually closes at 10:30 (bizarre given the name). Looked at Georges bistro but was overcrowded and too noisy. If you arrive late, parking is free in the street. "

A real swimming pool, which was quite a treat in late August. Rooms were clean but small, moderately well-equipped and comfortable. The reasonably-priced breakfast was excellent."

In addition to running a first-class operation, they have created a unique artistic/design atmosphere that can be experienced throughout the hotel. The large, main area upon entry is a combined leisure space and breakfast room/bar. The design of the space is beautiful, fun, extremely comfortable and filled with interesting obje d'art collected by the owners at flea markets etc. We will return to Lyon if for no other reason...
