There were only 2 things we liked about this hotel: 1. A good restaurant 2. Close proximity to the airport. However, overall, we have been left with a sour taste in our mouth and a bitter end to our time in Fiji. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay at Novotel Nadi and agree with other reviews suggesting a 2 star would better reflect this hotel. We had booked a superior double room with multiple beds. However, the room we ended up with did not match that description. The room was crawling with ants near the bed, by the tea station, and through the bathroom. The room was dirty - notably toilet, bath and floors did not look clean. The room was dark and stunk of cigarette smoke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were in effect lumpy pillow cases. If you have booked here a warning that they may attempt to overcharge you for the room. On arrival, it was acknowledged that we had paid in advance via Expedia, and we were advised a FJD100 hold would be charged to our card for any damages. On check out after a comedy of misunderstandings, they charged an additional FJD113.50 after misleading me to believe they needed my card to refund the original hold. The hotel was then reluctant to refund either transaction until we could prove that we had already paid (despite, I'm sure their system showing the settled account). Our taxi driver who had witnessed the interaction told us we are not the first people he's seen impacted by this. Avoid at all costs!

Positives - great friendly staff. Delicious buffet breakfasts. Relaxing grounds. However, the buildings need a lot of maintenance - leaks, decaying timber, bubbling/flaking paint everywhere etc... Our room was also quite run down. All the furniture had swollen from historic water damage, and some were shedding sawdust. The fridge was missing a leg, so it rocked every time we opened it. The kettle was odd as it turned itself off and then automatically on again so my wife burnt her hand on the handle - had to switch it off at the wall. One of the desk lights was temperamental. The exterior screen door was very difficult to operate due to worn tracks. One of the chair legs was not even so rocked when sitting in it. The sliding door to the toilet was stuck on the tracks, so difficult to operate. Inferior finishing work in the tiled bathroom. Ultimately, we were disappointed with the quality of the room as it was our 25th wedding anniversary trip that we had booked to Vanuatu, but then we had to make a last-minute change to Fiji due to the Vanuatu earthquake. We had been to Fiji previously in other resort accommodation that was much better quality, so I guess our expectations were too high, but for the price, I thought it should have been better.

This is our second time staying with Novotel. Highlights were the friendly staff five stars rated for that. Down side was I had already paid my room through Expedia, a day later after checking out my credit card was charged another night. I attempted to make contact, response was slow but I understand it’s busy during the Christmas season. I’m still yet waiting on the refund to be processed.

After getting bit we checked the bed and found bed bugs When we called to complain, the staff wanted to see the bed bug . I guess they didnt belive us? Then they tried to tell me that it wasnt a bed bug when we were getting biten...i guess they've seen bed bugs before? They moved us into another room . The next day we saw the cleaners changing the bedings from the bed bug room. No fumigation was done. Be careful when staying there.Goodnight! Dont let the bed bugs bite.

Rated my stay poor because the room next to ours was so noisy, we can hear the kids next door screaming and crying. I stayed at Novotel a lot of times before but this time it wasn’t what I expected. Ordered room service and waited for an hour only to get half of my order. Had to walked to the restaurant to pick up the rest of my order because we waited for another 30 minutes and nobody came back with the rest of my order.

We stayed at Novotel from 10th October to 17 oct 2024 Staff were great food was excellent and massages amazing. Very convenient location with pools and tennis court The only problem was noisy aircon and rundown rooms which needed a lot of tic. They need very good cleaners for bathrooms otherwise very good breakfast with a lot of varieties each day staff amazing with safe parking

I expected newer room, better looking bathroom and the room to be more clean and in a good condition since i paid almost $4000 for 6days but i was very much disappointed, the sliding doors were broken, curtains broken, bathroom was discusting, limited and same food for breakfast everyday, expensive lunch and dinner menus for very less amount. Old rackets n table tennis equipment. I would neva stay there again. NOT WORTH MY MONEY. ROOMS LOOKS LIKE CHEAP MOTEL ROOMS
