In summer, enjoy fishing, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing & more... Rent boats, kayaks, or paddle boards at the lake (or paddle boards at Big R). There's also a music festival, w/ free music on Wed. nights.

Depending on when you visit, we've got the Bluegrass Festival, Jazz Festival, Music at Myers Ranch Concerts, Rodeo & Parade held on Fathers' Day weekend, wonderful local theatre, ziplining in Conifer (the longest zipline in CO!)...and NOW - THREE wonderful craft breweries, right in Evergreen - Evergreen Brewery, Lariat Lodge, & El Rancho!

Red Rocks Amphitheater is 20-mins away down. Besides being a great concert venue, it's gorgeous, & ideal for hiking.

Fantastic trip
This house was a lovely place to stay for my family. It got pretty cold, so we ran both fireplaces which was great ambiance. They are not kidding when they say you need AWD/4x4 to get up there! Well-stocked kitchen. Couldn’t get the upstairs shower to work, but the main floor shower was fine. Also, the hot tub needed to be cleaned and filled, as the water smelled a little off/wasn’t clear and side jets weren’t spraying strongly. But, it was good enough.

This is a very nice house and is nestled on the side of the mountain. Lots of wildlife and nice and quiet. Very comfortable amenities and the hot tub was nice after a long day.

Don't use the hot tub
There are several issues at this property that need attention. Our stay was short so we were able to work around these issues, however, had our trip been scheduled for longer, I would have left. Here are the issues that we encountered that should be rectified: 1. Ice maker and water dispenser in the fridge does not work properly. Water pours out but it is very slow. We had to grab the ice by opening the freezer because it would not dispense the ice. 2. The downstairs toilet would flush some of the time but not always. My fiancé owns a construction company so he fixed it a few times before we gave up on doing that, after all we were on vacation 3. Heat, when we arrived it was 55 degrees in the house. All the heaters were turned down so low that it took all night and running both fireplaces before it warmed up the home. After a long day of travel, it would have been nice to walk into a warm cozy place 4. The wood supply, while you did a good job of addressing this issue, it was still something that we had to work through. It would have nice to have that full stocked before our arrival 5. The entry door does not stay latched unless locked. We found this out the hard way when we couldn’t understand why it wasn’t staying warm, come to find out the door blew open because it wasn’t locked 6. Upstairs shower is a big pain, it just keeps turning and turning so it was very difficult to find the correct temperature and then to get both shower heads warm at the same time was nearly impossible. We only got that to work properly once All the issues listed above were inconveniences, however, the hot tub is a big concern and the reason in which I am reaching out to you. A property with a hot tub was one of the top requirements we had and part of the reason we chose this property. We didn’t make our way to the hot tub until Friday morning only to be completely appalled by the condition of the tub. Upon entering we looked down at that the intake filters to find large amounts of debris stuck to the filter. Particles of who knows what, were floating all over the tub. We pulled one filter out and were planning to clean it, but the smell was so bad that my fiancé began to vomit. That hot tub should not be used until a full drain and cleanse is done! Reflecting on our stay, I did not receive the experience I expected due to the issues at this property which did affect our vacation.

Mountain retreat.
Great views and comfortable home. Furniture, beds were very comfortable and modern however the house itself is vintage 1980. Please be forewarned there is no central heat, each room relies upon small wall space heaters and they under perform which made it quite challenging to stay warm during our stay. Main living room has a wood burning fireplace which helped but you have to continually keep it going otherwise that room is a icebox. Overall we enjoyed our stay and you definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get in and out of house during the winter.

September Stay
We booked the property with hopes of lots of outdoor fun & this property didn't disappoint! Just a half mile up the mountain (and back down a bit) is a resouvoir with beautiful views! The hot tub was a favorite along with lots of UNO games! I wasn't prepared for all the stairs, but once we got settled in they weren't a problem. All in all we adoredthe gorgeous views, and the adventures the area provided!

Perfect Getaway
From the time of arrival we were more than pleased with this mountain escape. The house was tucked in the trees atop a short climb, the views were great and the amenities suited our needs. The centralized location allowed us to explore all of the mountain towns on our list. We will be back to further the exploration. Until next time, we 10/10 recommend.
