"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

"Very good location, handy for nice restaurants, pubs and museums. Quiet/safe area. Beautiful entrance/staircase in the hotel plus the dining area we used for breakfast was equally impressive. The full English breakfast was nice although poached eggs were overcooked. We were not waiting long, but I think that we had been forgotten about as breakfast overall was tasty but not piping hot. As well as the cooked breakfast there were self service cereals, toast etc. No pastries, fruit or cooked...

"We booked for one night, 2 double rooms, we were attending our daughter’s graduation at Ntu. A really nice tradition hotel with a fantastic pub. Safe really friendly. Only a 18 min walk into centre of Derby. The rooms were quaint and the four poster bed looked beautiful but very creaky! The bathroom was clean. We checked out early so didn’t sample breakfast as breakfast wasn’t until 9!! No hairdryers. Yes we would stay again."

"The hotel is close to Derby Train Station and it’s an easy walk into Derby City Centre as well. Only downside was the lift was out off order and it was my wife staying and she has health problems which made it a bit hard fir her to get to her room but apart from that she said she will use the Hitel again. "

"Stayed before and again was a good stay at a reasonable price Staff are nice and breakfast was good. Pay parking for disabled is a bit harsh. Would stay again. Could do with EV charge points"
