"Spa concept is all show. Looks good on brochures and in photos but lacks functionality. No hot water, hydrotherapy jets weak. Confusing layout. Misses the “Ahaaa” in relaxation. "

"Spacious rooms, beautiful new pool, breakfast okay. Check out at 11am. Characterful building. No air con in rooms, fans were unavailable from reception. Lovely attentive staff but need more staff on site. Dining area needs updating. Overall good value for money. Hotel has huge potential to become 5* with investment."

"Excelllent over-the-phone service prior to check-in, reliable out-of-hours access (this is gold dust having been let down badly by a competitor just around the corner before), very comfortable room. "We booked at the last minute because another property fell through. While very simple, Brit Hotel was a wonderful surprise. Quiet, friendly and helpful staff, and one of the best breakfasts we had while in France. We loved the emphasis on local products. A great stay."

"The twin bed was comfortable. The bathroom was updated and clean. The room carpets dirty with crumbs. The young woman who checked us in was lovely. The woman who checked us out was not friendly, not busy and still unfriendly. We seemed to be the only guests at hotel but they put us in a room with zero views of anything but a grey wall. "

"A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. The room was large and comfortable although the bathroom was clean it was a little dated in design. The hotel restaurant was excellent with a lovely evening meal. Not the cheapest in town, but excellent quality and again, very friendly staff. "
