"This is an old building and so expectations must be managed. It has great character and it’s great to stay in the pub for food and drink. The superior room was lovely but very noisy as over the dining room. "

"Second time we have stayed at The Plume travelling to/from Cornwall. It is a lovely, comfortable & homely hotel. However, the absolute bonus is their restaurant, the food (small plates/tapas) is excellent, as are the cocktails and wine list. It’s a shame it is not near our home as we would be very regular visitors!"

"A typical mid range seaside hotel. Like the curates egg, good in part. Trying to be objective but honest, so staff were nice, breakfast and dinner good and lovely sea views. On the other hand reception was a bit like a small guest house but it worked. Our room/suite was potentially a very nice room spoilt by a miniscule bathroom about 1.5m square and virtually impossible to get two people in there at once! And the other crazy thing which apparently has been mentioned before? The TV is on the...

Dorchester

"A great hotel in the heart of Dorchester, rooms are large, clean with tea and a coffee machine, bottled water and biscuits. There is also tea and coffe available free of charge near reception for guests. There is also a bar. All staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is limited on site and quite expensive, less expensive options available across the road. No breakfast available in the hotel but they give recommendations for cafes in town. Great value for money."
