"Large room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Food was nice but I was a bit surprised to find that the vegetarian main (possibly vegan, in fact) was more expensive than the meat options, even though the ingredients must have been much cheaper"

"Last minute trip to the Lakes. Super easy check-in, lovely Sunday roast, dog friendly, spacious, clean, well presented bedroom & a plentiful full English breakfast. Staff super friendly, helpful & accommodating. We’ll be definitely coming back. "

"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."

"Staff very friendly and helpful. Good good. Bed a little uncomfortable. Pool nice and quiet in the daytime. Duvet very lumpy and no filling in areas so got a little cold in the night. Cracks in the bathroom basin."

"Lovely clean accommodation. We stayed out of season so parking was not an issue. Staff all super friendly and helpful. Loved the fresh milk provided for our room daily, much better than the usual UHT given at most hotels! Breakfast was fantastic, great selection and service. Would definitely recommend "

"Very traditional 500 year old Tudor house. It’s beautiful. Has its quirks - sloping squeaky floors, uneven walls, nooks & crannies & so much history! The landlady is a fabulous baker, serving up all homemade mince pies, millionaires shortbread & a homemade bread as part of breakfast! She even makes her own jams & chutneys - I bought 2 to bring home. It’s like staying in a home from home. It’s warm, welcoming, cosy & so homely. Plenty of parking space outside, lots of wildlife roaming in the...
