"An older but well-kept building that is showing some wear. But our room was comfortable, and the staff was super kind and so helpful even with a little bit of a language barrier. Our triple room was a good size and overlooked the train station. We enjoyed sitting in the big window and watching the trains go by. There is a big step going into and out of the bathroom which took a little getting used to. We didn’t try breakfast, because there were many options close by. "

"New, clean hotel near JR Okayama Station. You can't beat the location: Lots of shops and restaurants around such as Aeon Mall, Ichiban-gai (underground shopping area at the station), Takashimaya Department store. The Nishigawa Ryokudo Park (canal area) is nearby. Also, you can easily go to Okayama castle by using the street car. This popular hotel chain is known for its free hot spring, popsicles, and yonaki soba (ramen), in which my family didn't show any interest. What I loved about this...

"유니버셜 호텔을 택한 이유는 같은 체인점인 히메지 시에서의 경험 때문이었습니다. 방 편하고, 위치 좋고, 조식은 물론 석식까지 제공하는 호텔이었습니다. (료칸 말고는 어디서도 보지못한 엄청난 서비스!!!) 오카야마에서도 같은 경험을 했습니다. '호캉스' 같이 호화로운 숙박 말고, 저처럼 관광 혹은 비즈니스에 최적화된 호텔을 찾는 사람에겐 합리적인 가격으로 머물기에 정말 좋습니다.(그래서인지 용무로 오카야마를 찾은듯한 일본인 비중이 많습니다) 아침은 간단한 뷔페가 제공되며, 저녁은 두가지 스타일 중 고를 수 있습니다. 특히 저녁은 구색맞추기가 아니라 정갈한 백반집 식사 같습니다. 정말 맛있게 먹었습니다. 수건은 인원에 맞춰서 1인당 2매를 제공하고, 주간 청소를 요청하지 않으면 문 앞에 당일 사용할 수건을 슬쩍 두고 가십니다."

"I loved my stay at this hotel. Yes, the hotel is old and outdated for sure, but it is kept clean. My room was small, but the bed was bigger than expected. The free, hot breakfast was very nice. Many dishes (not only eggs and sausages but also cooked vegetables, meat, miso soup, etc.). But due to the breakfast area being small, the line was long. It was really close to Okayama Station. There are two convenience stores nearby (Lawson and Seven-Eleven). Lots of restaurants around. Some front desk...

"We had half-board, dinner on both nights were excellent. Breakfast was simple Japanese spread and was filling. Room is clean and space was sufficient for 3pax."

"The room was very small. It has been nice and a little more comfortable in the other hotels. It was virtually a no room for move around once I opened my suitcase. I wish I knew before I booked. "

"This was a great hotel.. one of the biggest rooms on our 4 week trip...but...it was advertised as a adults only...now in Australia that means no kids...but here Japan it means a LOVE HOTEL. It was a bit of a shock but it really didnt spoil our stay...we didnt see or hear anything remotely seedy and the staff were wonderful"
