"Historical and gorgeous property with helpful and kind hosts."

"Staff was very helpful (even though the first two rooms assigned had no hot water). Checkin was easy. Beds were not very comfortable. Juice dispenser was inoperative in breakfast area. Staff member told us that the hotel was about to undergo a total renovation. It is badly needed!"

"The hotel is beautiful and very convenient. There was some noise in the middle of the night from a garbage truck emptying a dumpster behind the hotel (I may just be a light sleeper). The nozzle handle to the shower was also not fully cleaned as there was dried mucus on one side of it. Besides those two things, the hotel was great!"

"The Inn was very nice and the room was comfortable. The owner was nice as well, and the breakfast was wonderful. Cute town and area. Be careful when booking a room. We booked a specific room and paid more for that room and expedia assigned us a different room (less expensive) upon arrival but charged us the same price as the upgraded room we have book. Overall, still highly recommend. "

"I really enjoyed the outdoor balcony! It was nice to go out onto during the morning and listen to the birds chirp. "

"I loved everything about the Jarvis Inn. I stayed in the cottage and it was just perfect, the bed was so comfortable. Ian the Inn Keeper was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay and he had great recommendations for dinner and night life in town which I took him up on. I especially loved breakfast Ian made the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. It was my first time in New Bern definitely not my last and I look forward to staying her again. "

"The place was very clean an in an incredible spot. Host was very helpful and very accommodating. Very quiet and relaxing community with many things to do such as the going to the pool, going down to the docks or playing basketball. 10/10 stay would recommend. "

"Overall, the room was nice clean and worked well for my needs. One major issue I feel is the TV is inadequate and small and the Wi-Fi network speed is very poor saying that though accessing the room and the room itself and the bathroom was very clean and would recommend, staying there. "
