"We were given a room looking out to the sea; great view. Once the vacant lot between the hotel and the sea is constructed, the view of the sea will be blocked. Bed is comfortable. Service is good. What pulled down the score is the hotel conditions. There are stains along the edging of the shower screens and walls. The bathroom grout is clean. There are moldy spots in the tiles of the swimming pool grout at the water level."

"What a delightful stay ! From the moment we walked up the steps to the sound of the gong ,cool towels and refreshing drinks- friendly and accommodating staff - we knew we were in for a treat . Hotel surrounds and pool are beautiful , the yoga class in the morning right next to the water was a lovely way to start the day. Food plentiful and delicious with a huge variety of dishes. Always something going on and yet blissful places to be still and relaxed. The staff are always smiling and will go out of their way to help .Best 4 days we have spent in a long time - we will be back for sure - terima kasih Shangri La Tanjung Aru for a wonderful stay ."

"Great getaway resort away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for a couple nights stay as may run out of activities within the vicinity if staying longer. Staff were amazing and kind! Thank you to all!! Property condition is a bit outdated with expected wear and tear but kept clean enough for an enjoyable stay."

"Nice spacious rooms and good views over the sea. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only slight negatives was tgat the bars clided at 10pm which is a littke early, and some of the "hot" breakfast items were not kept that hot. But overall thoroughly recommend the Grandis when staying in Kota Kibabalu and we would not hesitate to stay again."
