"Very nice hotel "

"We enjoyed our stay, and the very central location, with several restaurants, a new Irish pub, and the Christmas market metres away. Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The "julefrokost"was plentiful with a wide array of traditional Norwegian Christmas dishes. Our only complaint is that the food was on the cold side for our tastes, even when we showed up at opening time. We used the exercise room, and also enjoyed the second-floor lounge. "

"Excellent hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were to a high standard of cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and we loved the fact that free self service tea and coffee was available in the lounge 24/7"

"Overall good value, particularly with the included meals, and nice location, but not without problems. I had to change rooms twice immediately on arrival as the safe in the first (rear-facing) room was unusable, the previous guest having left it locked, and, as confirmed by the person who checked me in, the door to the second room would not open. The (front-facing) room to which I was finally allocated appeared to be smaller than the first room and was in poor condition - cable ducting coming...

"Good stay gor shory business trip"

"Stayed at the hotel on my last night in Stavanger as I was leaving on an early morning flight. It was about a 10 minute walk from/to the airport terminal, fine in dry weather but wouldn't have been great in adverse conditions. The room was of a high standard although the view included a cemetery. Dinner was of a good quality but although I ate relatively early the kitchen seemed to close part way through my meal and I had to go and stand at the till in order to pay the bill. Good breakfast...

"Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded our expectations!!! This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel. They treat you like royalty right when you walk in the door. I would definitely stay there again in Stavanger. It was the best of all places we stayed in Norway. It didn’t have the most amenities or even the best views but it made up for it in service and quality of the room and everything in the room. Top class linens and towels, coffee, organic local tea, turn down service, heated towel hanger, heated toilet seat...
