"An ideal base geographically for chosen sight seeing locations along with meeting up with friends.
Disappointed that the room was not within the original 17 century building with so much character. I was allocated a ground floor room in a relatively new block at the rear of the property. The room did not really have any wow factor and I got the feeling that these are the rooms provided to workmen during the week. The pop up plug in the sink was missing and the bath plug did'nt fit. "This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer.
It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back."

"Proper Country House Hotel. Great looking place. Staff all v friendly and helpful at every touch point from reception to the gym to the bar. Don't forget your Golf clubs (like I did) as great driving range if you don't want to play 18holes (with separate golf bar) Rooms spacious and clean. Bed and pillows a bit hard for my taste but blackout curtains work well! 😉"

"Very enjoyable stay. Nicely decorated room with comfy bed and small balcony. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful and seemed happy in their jobs. Wonderful staff, great location.
"The location is great. Just outside the city. Cabs are a little bit annoying (no Uber - but the local app ABC Taxis is good. Plus reception has a “send me a taxi” button which works well.
I have to say, the staff here are incredibly lovely. Everyone cares about your stay, everyone is helpful and they made any questions I had - seem important and they really made it their business to sort things out. Hotel is beautiful, area great, bar and restaurant very good, staff? Best I’ve encountered. "
