"This was my sixth stay at Mälardrottningen, so obviously I’m a fan. It’s been a few years since my last stay and there have been some changes, the reception area has been relocated and the restaurant has been updated. It’s all very nice looking but requires that you drag your luggage up a metal ramp to check in. And as before, the stairs are short and somewhat steep so hang on to the hand rail. "The staff at Rival are the BEST. Friendly, professional and very attentive. The hotel is centrally located and perfectly appointed. Breakfast was delicious. The Bistro was the only let down, both service and food were a little disappointing. We upgraded to a suite and it was fantastic. Spacious and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rival. Shout out to ALL at reception- Michelle, Joel were standouts. "

That said, it was initially a bit tricky to find, and I underestimated how much I in fact do need a window and TV in my room.
