"Excellent place to stay, was convenient for a Saturday night out with a friend close to Carlisle town centre, the beds was comfy clean & nice bathroom i was pleased it had a bath as i only have a shower room at home it was lovely & relaxing, Slept very well, i forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door so i got a knock on at 9am from house keeping which i didn't like. The breakfast was amazing fresh Cumbria products jams butters etc, the fried eggs was so tasty & fresh the sausages was brilliant & was free. Overall 10/10 glad we choose to stay hete definitely would stay again it was safe & was pleased to see it was a genuine hotel not housing unruly impostors."

"Colin welcomed with a great smile and gave a quick tour of the place. He also gave an overview of Dumfries' history which was amazing. The place felt like home and was very clean and worth the money spent. Morning breakfast was delicious. I would definitely book a stay here again if I come to Dumfries. "

"This is my 4th visit to this excellent hotel, always on a one night stay as I am taking the Carlisle to Settle train the next day (must see!). This hotel is a great place to stay, the staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the station, the building is quite old and has a lot of character. Incredible value for money and well located I never consider staying anywhere else if I am staying in Carlisle. The breakfast at 10.50 pounds is well worth the money. "

"I chose here due to it being the perfect location and being the right price. I’m so pleased I did because the place and the team exceeded my expectations by a long way. Service, food, drinks all of the highest quality. Evening meal served in a really nice room, same as breakfast. The room I had was 205 and it was clean, comfy, spacious. I’m already thinking of reasons to return. Thank you "
