It’s a lovely area, with a peaceful feeling. I went there for family heritage reasons, but if you’re looking to experience Scotland, sans the cosmopolitan main centres, this is a must.

"Absolutely amazing hotel. Unsure what the bad reviews are about as our stay was amazing. The room was up to date and very spacious, we loved the added touch of the toilet roll haha. The lady on reception was wonderful and so nice. We will definitely be back."

"This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. ..."
