Two bookings for the same apartment
We never managed to stay in this apartment. Despite an early booking the apartment was already occupied. We tried to contact the host before our arrival via the platform but he never answered. We managed to find his phone number on the net. Three hours before our arrival, he told us the flat was already rented. Fortunately the platform Vrbo helped us to find something else and reimbursed the difference. We thank Vrbo for that.

Vrbo good, host not there in any capacity.
Upon flying the whole family from canada, i did get a confirmation email with vrbo from the holding company but with no way of getting key access, even messaged the host with no reply. No numbers provided where active. Vrbo help came thru for us with a long phone call.

Terrible host/communication
We booked this in early fall, host said we could drop our luggage at 10 am but check in was not till 4. After flying an 8 hour international flight, we got to the house, we waited for them to arrive and after an hour of no show, walked 1-2 miles to find wi fi so I could check that maybe I’d received the house code in an email. We left 2 members with our luggage. We found a Starbucks and In my email (time stamp at 9:45am) I’d received a cancellation email from the host; 15 minutes before we were to arrive…unbelievably angry at the outcome. VRBO was contacted and they found us another place to stay for one of the 2 nights we had booked so We then had to find another place to stay. All in all, horrible experience. We received a full refund however what I spent extra to call VRBO (I don’t have international calling), several extra cabs to get us to new hotel, and higher cost of a hotel the next night leaves me upset. Not to mention we lost over half the day getting the problem solved. One positive is VRBO paid for the one night stay but the place was less than desirable; very sketchy neighborhood and the place was not clean. Overall, if I could have given no stars I would have. My personal opinion is take a pass on this one.

Trotz Bestätigung konnte das Apartment aufgrund einer Doppelbuchung nicht bezogen werden. Kommunikation über die Platform mit dem Vermieter war unterirdisch. Auf konkrete Rückfragen wurde nicht geantwortet. Als wir vor verschlossen Türen standen, war niemand erreichbar.
