Eguas Beach Tours and Activities

Eguas Beach showing general coastal views and a beach as well as an individual female

Relax on the stone beach terrace and enjoy the wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean in this small and secluded cove.

Éguas Beach is a flat, sandy bay hidden between thick palm trees and verdant rock formations. It has a charming and colorful beach bar with a terrace offering an excellent vista of the Atlantic Ocean. Swim with your family in the calm and crystal clear water.

Relax on this small beach and enjoy the peacefulness in this remote part of the world. Sunbathe to get a nice tan and cool down with a dip in the water, which is relatively calm with few waves. The beach also has many shaded areas behind trees and rocks, where you can take a break from the scorching sun.

Play ball games with your friends on the beach and frolic in the ocean. The water is so clear that you can see the colorful fish hovering around your knees. The water rises substantially at high tide, when much of the sandy stretch disappears.

Sit beneath an umbrella at a table on the beach hut’s wooden terrace. This small restaurant and its charming terrace are elevated on an artificial stone plateau at the back of the beach. Relax on one of the colorful chairs at beach level.

Walk through the thick vegetation of the surrounding tropical forests. Explore the adjacent village of Jacuecanga, which has churches, restaurants and inns, among other highlights.

The beach is open at all times and is free to visit. Leave your car in the parking area free of charge. Note that the strand can get fairly busy on weekend afternoons.

Find Éguas Beach in the southeastern corner of the village of Jacuecanga, which is located between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. From Angra dos Reis drive east for roughly 9 miles (15 kilometers) to get here in 20 to 30 minutes. See nearby attractions, such as Machado Beach and the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.
