"This is not easy to find - tucked away in the hamlet above Canfin. (Drive past Candin for 1km and there’s a sign on the left). The hotel has beautiful outdoor seating under a thatch and lovely walks around. But what makes it so special is the quality of the cooking - they do an evening meal for guests, with full use of local products, especially the chestnuts and figs. We had spiced figs in our main dish of perfectly long-cooked beef, and home-made marrons glacé on our delicious lemon...

"Great location for an overnight stay on the highway. I left my e-reader in the room and couldn’t turn around to he get it and the fantastic staff researched how to get it back to Canada for me at the lowest possible cost! Wonderful customer service. Handy being able to eat in the restaurant downstairs!"
