"Great place above Samana bay. Not easy to get to (especially at night), but an oasis with incredible views, super friendly staff, good food and pretty access to Samana destinations. Loved private dinners in one of the two towers overlooking the bay. Yoga in the morning. No AC, but the higher rooms didn’t need it at all (fan plus breeze meant we used a blanket at night)."

"I felt comfortable, despite initial problem with my reservation through Expedia (which took 3 calls to resolve), and some construction noise. I stayed 4 nights in the 6bed dorm room. I miss the hostel dog Amazon, the most. It's a very basic hostel but staff/volunteers/owner/guests were very nice.
