"The hotel was an old prison and the rooms are former prison cells so this is really interesting. The layout is a bit tight, but beds were very comfortable. No AC but there is a fan and it was cold during our stay so all was well. The bathroom is functional, clean and a good lay out. Breakfast was great. It is very convenient, within the old city and an easy walk to the train station."

"This property is a short easy walk from the train station. It’s in a nice, clean area that is also just a few minute walk to the historic district. The hotel had an elevator and breakfast had a wide array of options with plenty of fresh berries for yogurt and fresh pastries and cheese/meats. I would recommend and stay here again! "

"New and modern rooms are very nice. No need to use EU plug adapter to recharge phones as the charging cords plug directly into wall terminals. Great location just behind the train and boat cruise station. Very affordable 24 hour parking across the street below the Migros shopping mall. Staff is very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Highly recommend. "

"Property is under renovation which we knew about ahead of time. Dining is not within walking distance but they provided free bus service. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet and the hotel is a 5 min walk to Jungfrau train. "

"We LOVED this location. We had a lake view room with a balcony which we very much enjoyed. Highly recommend staying in Iseltwald versus Interlaken because of the charm of the small village and the setting. We didnt see much of Interlaken but it seemed commercialized and didnt have much character, but it was the main transportation hub. If you dont mind coordinating with the bus schedule to get to Iseltwald, it was such a nicer spot to be. The hostel was very clean, the staff were wonderful and very helpful, the view was amazing and we appreciated having the outdoor space to use and common dining room/living room and access to the kitchen. The only drawback is that the building is older and the walls were very thin, but the guests were very respectful and fairly quiet so we slept quite well. They provide earplugs too! Would definitely recommend this place regardless!"
