"The hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and relaxed. We enjoyed having our breakfast on the terrace every morning. The hotel was perfect to walk to the lido or local pizzerias (about 20mins) the bus service was frequent and easy to get to from the train station. I'd definitely come again and recommend to others who want a relaxing family friendly experience "

"The location was great . Walking distance to ferry terminal and 10 minute bus ride to station . Have stayed at the Grand Duca on 3 occasions and each time delighted with the view over the harbour . "

No elevator so needed help with suitcases, which was freely given. Also there was a step up into the bathroom, so a trip hazard in the night. Overall we were very satisfied and chose to stay again on a return visit. Recommendation: try the Cafe Duomo for dinner, just a short block away."
