"Our group of 4 wanted a quiet place to stay for a couple of nights. The location was perfect, situated right beside the lake. As it was off season, we were able to take the north shore and south shore roads with essentially no other visitors on the road rainy and beautiful at the same time. The house has a great kitchen and the 4 separate bedrooms allowed for privacy for our large party. The living areas were spacious, giving us a place for conversation and meals. The heating system worked well....

"Loved the location. Home was very dated and was not stocked well. We bought steaks to grill and the LP tanks were empty. Unloaded in the dark because outside motion sensor light wouldn't turn on."

Pleasant Stay, Poor Internet

"My stay at Lake Quinault Lodge was mostly positive. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the internet service was disappointing, especially the 30-minute limit. I would appreciate it if you could improve the internet connectivity for future guests. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider returning."

"To be honest, the Kalaloch beach didn't impress me as much as the Rialto Beach or Ruby Beach, but the lodge is way beyond my expectation. The lodge consistes of independent cabins made of woods, and the cabin we got has two beds and has enough space for the whole family. The room is spacious and clean, and it has a kitchen with a whole set of cookware and condiments so you are free to cook. The bathroom is a little small, but the water is still warm enough for you to have a good shower. Each cabin has a parking space in front (or at side) of the cabin. Once you park your car, you are within minutes of walk to the ocean view, as the lodge locates on the cliff facing the ocean (I'm not sure whether you can walk down to the beach since the end of stair towards the beach seems to be blocked and I don't see anyone on the beach). The food in the dinning hall is also good enough if you don't want to cook. We ordered a fish and chip and it was nice and not so expensive. So if you plan to drive around the whole Olympic national park and don't want to camp, Kalaloch Lodge is totally a choice on the shore side of the park."

Wonderful house, Great location

"Check in was easy as can be. Unloading the car was fast because of the mud room you first walk into. The open floor plan is great. Then when you walk out onto the deck and there is a spectacular view of the ocean. Two very nice bedrooms and a bathroom. It was a little dirty. Old open chip bag on the refrigerator. Open old bottles of liquor in basement fridge. It would have been nice to have tissues as well. We bought our own. Also we couldn’t get the fire pit to work. Bummer Overall we had a wonderful stay. We added our sand dollar to the collection. What a cute idea. Would love to come back next August. Fingers crossed. 😃"

Nice Getaway at the Elk House

"We enjoyed our stay at the Elk House and would come back again. It’s a great house and such a peaceful area. We didn’t see any elk, sadly, but enjoyed spending mornings and evenings on the porch. The WiFi worked great, and we were able to stream on the TV. The house is in a great area - easy drives to Lake Quinault, hiking, and more! The “grocery stores” near by are small so if you’re coming from a larger area it may be worth bringing groceries with you. A few things to note for future guests - there is a keurig but no kcups were provided so bring your own; same goes for coffee pot/coffee. We couldn’t figure out the air conditioning and there were no instructions to be found; it wasn’t that warm so I didn’t feel the need to reach out to the hosts about it, but something to note if you’ll be going in peak summer time. We hope to visit the area again in the future and would love to stay at Elk House again! "
