Scenic verdant cliffs pockmarked with colorful huts and homes loom over the golden sands of Ferradurinha Beach. Intriguing formations of slanted rocks frame this lively bay, where you can get a meal and rent watersports equipment. Embark on a trek along the trails surrounding this scenic strand.

Capture photos of the stunning emerald mountains covered with inns, hostels and houses overlooking the beach. Enjoy the views of adjacent Love Beach and the jagged promontories surrounding the bay. At the back of Love Beach is a hill containing the Ferradurinha Viewpoint, offering the best vista of the bay from above.

Back on Ferradurinha Beach, try the seafood and other specialties at the restaurant and relax at one of the tables spilling onto the sand. Clamber over the rocks that enclose the bay. The water of the Atlantic Ocean here is calm and shallow, providing ideal conditions for family activities in the gentle waves.

Go for a swim in the cool, crystalline water and bring your snorkel and mask to check out the colorful fish here. The sea is particularly calm, as the bay is protected by rocks and headlands. Rent stand-up paddleboards and kayaks to take out on the water. Spot the turtles that frequent this sandy bay. You can also rent deckchairs and umbrellas for your stay on the beach.

The name of the beach is Portuguese for the Little Horseshoe Beach, in reference to its arched shape. Arrive early to avoid the crowds. The beach is fairly popular on weekend afternoons.
