Coastal and countryside walks abound, with everything from energetic distance walks to leisurely trail and cycle ways through quiet villages and bustling towns. The Cleveland Way and the Wolds Way offer unrivalled long distance walks. Steeped in history, there are many homes, halls and castles, with Burton Agnes Hall and Castle Howard easily reached.
