If you’re not prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But there’s no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Norager. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. Firstly, you’ll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and take a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good idea too.
- The condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce your risk.
