"Great one night stay for our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia. A bit cold at night esp the floor!!! Small heater in cottage which made it a bit more tolerable. Not sure I would stay more than one night esp in the fall. I’m sure it’s different in the summer. Wonderful owners very friendly and informative. Lovely grounds and quiet at night. "

"Booked this hotel out of necessity because we wanted to do the bioluminescence tour in Castine (also highly recommend) and the Bucksport Inn just happened to be conveniently located. So glad we did! First, the service was exceptional. They called us the morning of our reservation to inform us that the TV in our room was broken, but to offer a different type of room (2 queens vs a king). Beautiful Apartment with Beautiful view.

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Beachfront Brooklin. A beautiful estate on the ocean with private access to an apartment. The owner was a gracious host and provided us with amenities that were unexpected. One of the nights we stayed was that of the supermoon. It was beautiful on the water and we felt safe to walk down to the beach in the evening. This property was our favorite out of all the other places we stayed during our New England trip. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. We hope to be back someday. "

"This is a great property away from the tourist areas but close enough to make short trips to the tourist areas if you want to see the sights. The hosts had some great suggestions for sights that only the locals knew of. A great stay!"

Oceanfront retreat with sunrise views, screened porch, & deck

The View is Everything!

"Arrived to a clean, well decorated cottage. Smaller than expected for four adults. The view made up for any shortcomings. A small screened in porch, a deck, large flat granite rocks, the outside seating options are numerous. Best part of our day, coffee on the deck watching lobster boats, hearing loons, marveling at the sunrise. Be aware the use of the fireplace is prohibited. Would have been great on a rainy day. Location is good with proximity to Ellsworth for groceries, Bucklyn coffee in Blue Hill. Brooklin Country Store for breakfast sandwiches and baked goods, annd other surrounding areas. Again, while a bit tight in the living room and kitchen, the view and outside area made this a strong option for a repeat visit. "

Waterfront Deer Isle Apartment w/ Fire Pit

Beautiful view

"We enjoyed our stay at this Deer Isle apartment. Watching the sunrise over the water and the deer crossing the lawns started our days off right. The hosts were very quick to respond with one little issue and the space was very comfortable. Only negative was that there was no hairdryer but we would definitely stay there again. Thank you for sharing your lovely space. "
