"I’ve stayed in two rooms here and can see why reviews are either great or terrible - it really depends on the room you get, and unfortunately there’s no way to choose when booking here. Some of the staff are exceptional however, and turned what would have been a one-star review stay to this five-star review. One tip may be to make sure and book a premium room, not the standard, even though they have the same description and (misleading) photos on this site. It is a great place to stay and the location is perfect for enjoying everything Breckenridge."

"We had a fantastic stay at Mountain Thunder Lodge this past weekend. You absolutely cannot beat the location; it's a peaceful spot nestled in the pines, but still just a five-minute walk to Main Street and the gondola. Loved the pool and hot tub!"

"Lived in Colorado all my life, yet I'm still surprised when I get a hotel room in the mountains that only has heat, not A/C, in the room; it was a bit warm for sleeping, as a result. The convenience of this hotel is excellent - a short, easy walk to the Dillon Amphitheater; there are restaurants within walking distance, too. We also appreciated the presence of a side table with two chairs, in addition to the desk and deck chair - very handy!"

"Amazing room and pool/outdoor area! Also a shuttle that takes you into Breckenridge and back for free which was a great surprise to avoid parking! Would stay here again for sure. "
