"Check in process was not great as the afternoon front desk attendant at the time gave a poor reflection of the property. Attendant was not friendly to new guests. Disappointed at the level of service provided. However, staff encountered throughout the remainder of the stay was accommodating and polite. Breakfast was very good each day, with different Chinese Breakfast variations each day. Room had plumbing issues such as toilet not having water to flush or water not draining at wash...

"Way overpriced for what you get. Paid 3361 NTD. Very run down and dated. Room was stuffy and smelled mouldy. Rubbish and stuff piled everywhere. Staff tried to charge me again. Owner is friendly and chatty. Breakfast was a delicious Taiwanese delight. Hot Springs were very ugly. Do not serve dinner any more. Very far from anything. An Tong Hot Springs around the corner is new, bright and clean. Excellent restaurant upstairs."

"Small room but with the amenities of a much more expensive hotel. Incredibly good price. Apparently, every room has a balcony and mine had gorgeous views of the mountains. After all, this town is at the foot of Yu Shan mountain—also, the collision of two tectonic plates over by the river. Cutest town on the east coast? Low-key, uncrowded (unlike many villages here), incredibly easy scooter or bike rental at the train station. The hotel also has bicycles for guests…I’ve heard the Yuli hot springs...
