"Quinta da Vacaria was absolutely wonderful. The views from the hotel of the Douro terrain is magical. The staff is friendly and helpful which makes the visit extra special. An added bonus is the wine making facility on the property. We enjoyed a tour of the winery and tasted their wines in the perfect setting. "

"We had the exclusief appartement, that was to the back, and that was really nice and silent. The complex is a bit more up the mountain and not that "next" to the water/center what was perfect for us! (more silence). And even then everything in near you, supermarket at walking distance, or just a 5-10 min drive to the river. Plenty of restaurants, hikes, activities to do. Rooms where nice and spacious, kitchen was equipped with all you needed. And it was clean. There is a parking garage below...

"I stayed at Quinta de São Luís (Vine House) and I have to say, this was hands down the highlight of my entire trip to Portugal. I’ve traveled quite a bit, but I had never seen anything this beautiful. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations.
