The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s within walking distance of the beach, and Moody Gardens is just a 10-minute drive away. There are also several restaurants right next to the hotel that you can easily walk to. However, the service was disappointing. When we checked in, there was only one staff member available, and we had to wait a long time. We requested housekeeping to clean the room, but no one ever showed up. It took multiple requests just to get towels delivered to us. The pool water was warm, but it felt too cold for kids to enjoy. Additionally, the hot tub was completely out of service. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we plan to stay at a different hotel during our next visit to Galveston.

The property was clean and one part of the hotel was updated. I really liked our room on the 8th floor. The view of the ocean was beautiful. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub immensely! Staff are friendly and helpful.

There was a lot of work going on around the property, and they did a poor job of communicating it. The elevators were being serviced. The room phones didn't work. They were refinishing the parking lots, and we ended up walking in black tar, and then went to the beautiful basilica, and ended up getting tar all over the floor. Usually when there is a lot of work going on, they comp you with drinks or something or something in the room. We didn't receive anything like that. Even the balcony over looking the beach at the end of the hall was closed for the duration of our stay.

The staff was friendly. Plenty of room to spread out. Restaurant and bar were a plus. Hotel located across from beach and close to grocery store. Felt that there wasn't enough staff to service bar and restaurant in the evening. Water was offered at the valet stand and at check-in which was a nice touch.
