This hotel is truly a gem. Beautiful building, excellent room (Rudyard Kipling) with the completely unexpected upgrade. Afternoon high tea was superb. It is not clear on Expedia that we were not booked in the hotel advertised. There is a new wing called 'Victory Tower' that we had to stay in. The old hotel front desk staff were dismissive and no help. The new tower manager was very helpful and although he couldn't put us in the old hotel as advertised he did upgrade our room and give us access to the amenities of the 'old hotel'.
