"I spent 9 wonderful days at 'Grace at the Sea'. Pam is an excellent communicator and keeps her home spotless and well supplied. As a single older (!) person I felt very safe. Nice easy walks to the ocean, and then you can walk along the beach in either direction for a long way. Or walk along the more in-land meadow trail. Perfect get-away home!"

"Took my pups for the weekend to see the coast. This property was just what I was looking for. More than pet friendly, my dogs were in heaven exploring the gigantic fenced in yard, walking the trails behind the back gate, and sleeping so comfy they snored. The house was so comfortable, welcoming, cozy, clean, completely self-contained, with beautiful window views and plenty to do inside though it rained outside all weekend. I slept to the sound of the ocean and slept so peacefully. Property contact was wonderful to work with and so helpful. "A beautiful property with lots of space to spread out and large areas to gather. Coffee in the deck watching the ocean, cows grazing in another direction. Quiet neighborhood, close walks to beach and easy drive to siteseeing like Bodega Bay Head, Armstrong woods. Comfy beds, great kitchen. Whole family enjoyed our stay!"

"The house was spacious for the 4 of us and the big windows let in lots of light so it is a very relaxing place to be. The view of the ocean is amazing from the house. We enjoyed being able to walk to Portuguese Beach and stroll through the quiet neighborhood, play pool, etc. Overall a very comfortable place to stay. The host was great with communication and was very helpful when I had a question about the locking system. The one improvement I would recommend is that the house could use a decent set of pots and pans and a good knife set and cutting board. Side note: the VRBO site says that it is sleeps 8 people but the beds and the guest book on site states max 6 people and the number of beds is appropriate for 6 people. "

"The two nights we stayed right after Christmas happened to have incredibly dramatic surf which can be viewed from nearly all of the house, just across Hwy 1. Our party of 5 (my husband and me plus 3 adult kids and our dog all enjoyed ourselves immensely especially due to the views and the nice kitchen. My parents lived in Bodega Bay for many years so this was a trip down memory lane for our family. It was a bit odd that the game room wasn't connected to the main house but rather required a trip through the courtyard which also contained the hot tub but no landscaping at all, just gravel. The hot tub overlooking the gravel backyard instead of being on the front porch with the ocean view was not what we had expected and it was raining a lot so we didn't use it. However, the fact that the backyard is fully fenced and quite large was a big plus as a dog owner, but I had to be very careful with the front deck as it is not fenced so pets or children couldn't be out there unattended with the busy highway. We didn't actually have any contact with the hosts but the directions were clear to get in and out of the property. Inside the home, everything is very modern and designed to be fairly easy to figure out which is good because there were no instructions or manuals for any of the appliances or the cosy gas fireplaces. For a relaxing time with family with incredible views and the ability to drive into Bodega Bay in 5 minutes, I definitely recommend this rental. "

"If you dream about waking up and going to sleep with pristine views of the beach and the sound of crashing waves, this is THE PLACE. Stunning property with huge windows on both floors overlooking a beautiful beach and rocky outcroppings on the Sonoma coast. The house itself is really cool - vintage 70s design and decor with lots of wood but not old in its amenities at all. New windows give spectacular views but minimal noise - you'll sleep like a baby on this quiet street, perched above the beach. It's an easy 2 minute walk to the beach access down the cliff or you can drive 1/2 a mile and pay 10 to park and walk right onto the beach (perfect for those seniors with a bit less mobility). We loved the retro appliances and the Smart TV's (Vizio) which had every app under the sun and was easy to use. We had our dog with us and she loved being at the beach every day and the street just outside was perfect for her pee and poop breaks. There's even a small fenced in patch off the kitchen for those late "let the dog out before bed" moments. I hope to return to this special place again - we had a very memorable week and the house was a huge part of that. Thank you for sharing this property with us!"
