"Place is as described and is quite nice and peaceful there. Knocking off one star because free wifi is listed in the description, but it is not fast enough to be useful. The wife and I tried and tried for about 30 minutes see if the connection would get better but it never did so we just gave up. We would stay here again however."

"This lovely rental was just what I needed. The house itself was very cute and welcoming, but what really stood out to me were the surrounding pine trees, the wonderful hammocks, and the nice little trail out back to the creek. I sat outside at night to watch the stars. Was grateful the owners of the property had shared info about the nearby Lake Ouachita hiking trails and mountain vista views. Great all around stay!"

"We were so looking forward to our stay at Lazy Trout and overall we had a good time! A few little hiccups that Cory was very quick to address. Cabin cleanliness:10/10 Communication w/host:10/10 Safety/functionality of Cabin for young kiddos: 5/10 (1. the staircase is completely open to the living room w/handrail only on the wall side. And no landing rail so no ability to put a baby gate up. This was an over-site on my part as there are photos of the stairway, but I just didn’t look close...

"It's like camping. It's definitely better than a tent. The other reviews, people were mentioning how it smelled like mildew in the cabin, but it's not the cabin that stinks, it's the air conditioner. While we were there, it was cool at night, so we didn't need the air conditioner, i also brought a small fan. "We booked this yurt as a weekend getaway. The views from the deck were beautiful at sunrise. The hot tub was ready to go as soon as we arrived. The place was very clean. The only issue was had was the main light/fan would not turn on. We tried every switch/remote and still wouldn’t budge. It’s not a huge issue since it’s a small space and there is a bathroom and kitchen slight to supplement but definitely something that could be addressed for future stays. "
