"nice location, lovely bed, good sized room. I had the chicken salad from their bar menu and that was pretty decent too, only down side there was the slightly stale bread. all in all a really good stay, and id definitely go back, especially at tge last minute £54 price!"

"Lovely room in a nice spot close to town. Geraldine the owner was so welcoming we felt really at home! Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent. Somerset House is near enough to walk to seaside and promenade and close to station for days out. Would recommend for a pleasant short break :-)"

Excellent shops on the doorstep, easy access to the promenade and South Lakeland attractions a short drive away. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Room had some minor maintenance that needed attention such as the extractor fan not working and there were no curtains (just a somewhat worn blind). We chose this house over others because it had a kitchen table that was perfect for setting up games on and another dining table to eat on. Kitchen very well stocked, comfy furniture and lovely garden to sit out with coffee or G and T’s. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a house away from hustle and bustle."
