"Papa Joe is a wonderful host. He greeted us personally, even though our flight was delayed and got in late. The basement suite he provided was private, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, tea, coffee and more, and there was a pretty outdoor seating area just off the bedroom to enjoy breakfast. He invited us to dinner and we had a lovely chat. He truly treats guests like family. 10/10, would stay here again! "

"This was a great place that easily accommodated our group of three families. It was on a beautiful property with a great walking path, the kids loved watching the geese in the water, and exploring the riverside. The kitchen and dining areas were a good setup to cook for our whole group of 14 people, with plenty of refrigerator space for groceries. We were close to town but still out far enough to have plenty of space. Our host was very communicative and checkin and checkout were super easy. It was great to open the windows and let the breezes come through, wish we could’ve stayed longer!A couple of notes- one of the smaller bedrooms has a large opening above the door so doesn’t totally seal off from the hallway, and bring all pantry items beyond coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.It’s a lovely house!"
