I stayed here for a short business trip. The room was nice and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. There is acocktail bar and restaurant within the premises.

The Gem was a lovely hotel. It's a good 4 star hotel. Not plush or luxurious, but really comfortable, modern and clean. Great spot in town!

Gem by name... Gem by nature

A beautiful property in an incredible part of the country. The hotel is large enough to feel luxurious, yet small enough to feel intimate & comfortable. The rooms were a great size & very well appointed with a good shower & everything you need as a traveller. The restaurant was fantastic & food was beautiful - really highlighting the produce of the region. Definitely would stay here again.

I stayed in the Standard Queen Room and it is very small and noisy. When i asked the staff about it they confirmed that all the standard rooms on the side are smaller and noisier (because they are next to the hotel's air cons) than the king size rooms that face the street. Level 2 is the quieter rooms. Very disappointed that they didn't tell me this when i booked and hardly slept because of the noise.
